Panasonic has announced five new digital cameras today which will all fall under its Lumix brand. The new cameras are the LX5, FZ40, FZ100, FX700, and TS10 and all are of the point-and-shoot variety. Cell phones, laptops, mp3 players, cordless power tools and digital cameras all use rechargeable batteries, which can and should be recycled. Today, Call2Recycle, North America's only free rechargeable battery and cell phone collection program, launched MyCall2Recycle, an awareness campaign designed to educate consumers and businesses on the importance and ease of battery recycling.

Apparently Samsung's idea to have two LCD screens on its digital cameras - one in the back and one in the front, to make it easier to take self portraits - has worked because the company is introducing a new line of those with bigger front-side LCDs....
