A New Digicam (Hopefully)

Someone from a forum that I visit regularly is selling her slightly used digital camera with free 4gb micro sd at a reasonable price. Usually if you buy brandnew cameras they don’t really have inclusive memory cards with them. Since am planning to buy one hopefully before the month ends, am seriously contemplating on buying hers. But will have to check on other offers first and hopefully I’d end up with a good deal.

Stonewall 2.0 — sizzle or fizzle

I guess it depends on who's gabbing about it. Let's go to a conversation that Mike Signorile and Dan Savage had on Mike's show the other day. Both think the grassroots movement is having difficulty maintaining traction. Mike:Each time they've (Join the Impact) organized something since that first 11 days after Prop 8 passed, however, it does seem to have less and less of that impact. Kodak camera offers two shutter releases, one for horizontal, one for vertical

When you turn a D-SLR or ultra zoom camera to take a vertical shot, the shutter release is often in an awkward position. Kodak's Z980 ultra zoom camera, due in April for $399.99, has two shutter release - the regular one on the top and, after you flip a toggle on the control panel, a second one on the right hand grip is activated. To make holding the camera easier for vertical picture taking, you can screw a grip onto the bottom over the battery/SD card slot door. Other than this clever sec

Apple files patent for camera hidden behind display

By Zach SpearWe've already seen the iSight indicator light "disappear" behind the bezel of Apple's MacBook and iMac computers. A recently published patent application could make the iSight itself not only disappear, but move to the middle of the screen. MacBooks, iMacs, and even iPhones and iPod touches could take advantage of the new technology.Submitted in July 2007, the filing details plans for a camera mounted behind a display that could capture an image "while the display elements are in an

The Polaroid camera is back, in digital

By PETER SVENSSON AP Technology Writer AP Photo/Bebeto Matthews LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A strange little ritual used to go along with Polaroid cameras. The shooter would grab the print as it came out of the camera and wave it in the air, as if that would stimulate the chemicals and make the picture appear faster. It didn't. Yet it felt dumb to just stand there, waiting for the picture to develop.Polaroid stopped making film packs last year, so this little piece of tech culture will s

Budget Bridezilla: Flashy Rhinestone Disposable Cameras

Budget Bridezilla: Flashy Rhinestone Disposable Cameras Even in the age of digital doodads and wireless what-nots, there is still something giddily fun about the flash of a disposable camera and the accompanying glee of going to pick up developed film. Call us old-fashioned, but Bridezilla wants to bring back the good-old disposable camera-with a new twist of course. Luckily for us, disposable cameras have undergone attractive makeovers in the past few years. Bridezillas everywhere sigh in re
